I heard an interview with the head of the Democratic Party in what is most likely the most economically depressed state in the country. He was being questioned about initiatives that are currently be put forth by his party.
As I listened to the conversation I found myself wondering: “Do Liberals live in an alternate reality from the rest of us? ”
Here he is, from a state that is bleeding jobs and people as fast as possible and do you know what some of the liberal proposals were? Raise the state required minimum wage to $10.00/hour. REQUIRE all employers to provide health insurance to employees. And mandate that banks put a hold on all foreclosures for one full year. Is this guy kidding?
The talk show host asked him if he was concerned that these proposals, if enacted, would only worsen the job situation in the state. The response was ‘that theory was just right-wing propaganda!’
Hello…reality check here?! When your governmental requirements squeeze the profit from a small business, the business owner has no choice but to let employees go. This isn’t conservative propaganda…it is life in the real world. (You know, the one where you can’t just get more money by raising taxes!)
It sure seems that the old saying that ‘every stereotype has a basis in fact’ is true here. Liberals only know how to tax and spend. Their solution to every problem is to make it harder for businesses to flourish and to punish the productive for the benefit of the non-productive.
It is like they live in an alternate universe…how to you refute that?
