Obama Fights Fanaticism with Rhetoric

Recently I had a shocking conversation with a co-worker.  He happens to be a Muslim.  We were discussing Freedom of Religion in America and I told him that, having been raised American, that I really couldn’t comprehend the jihadist mentality of killing another just because their beliefs didn’t agree with mine.

At that point he told me that there were many Muslims here in the US, in our own little area, in his circle of acquaintances,  who truly believe that not only is it acceptable to kill non-Muslims, but morally preferable as this would help them to get into heaven.

Then he really shocked me.  He told me he had recently spoken with one of our colleagues…who works in the same building as I do…and that person expressed the belief that not only is it good to kill “non-believers”, but that he would be delighted if his children were martyred for the sake of Islam so he could get to heaven quicker.

I don’t work in a huge place.  I have to admit, I find it disconcerting that someone I may cross paths with and greet in the hallway thinks it is preferable to kill me because I am a non-muslim.  Whoa!

This got me to thinking. This person lives and works in the US.  He has been accepted into American culture and benefits from it.  Yet he still retains his radical beliefs.

How does Obama think that he can change this attitude world-wide simply with rhetoric?

Obama has run around the world on his ‘apology tours’ accepting blame for the US and apologizing for the American people.  In effect, he is playing patty cake with our enemies.  Does he really believe that this show of weakness will make them like us more?  Or will it encourage them to greater efforts against us?

We all know there are people in the world and in our country who don’t like the United States.  It does tend to really hit home though when you realize that there is someone in the same building who would celebrate your death.

May God protect us through the next three years.  Clearly our president won’t.

Sincerely,

The Fed Up American

  1. FUA says

Islam is a religion with its own system of law. This is sharia law. Allahs law. Look it up on Wikipedia. Note the sections for Slavery and emancipation, Sharia and non-Muslims. This set of “life rules” (see definition at the top of Wikipedia page for sharia law) takes precedents over all other laws, including Constitutional Law. Enemies in the camp would be an understatement. You see, this is why you get silence from moderate Muslims when someone outside their religion is murdered. In this religious mindset we are not aligned with Allah. We must be brought to alignment or sent to the devil. Its interesting that the author is surprised that Muslims live here in the U.S. and still embrace “radical beliefs”. These beliefs are not radical at all. They are Allahs Law.
Jihad Watch, and MEMRI.org will be eye openers for many.
