As the snowstorm raged in Washington DC this week, Obama is doing his best to snow the Democrats into passing healthcare over the objections of the American people. In an article posted on Breitbart, Obama’s speech is quoted:
“(It’s) good to be among friends. So committed to the future of this party and this country … a blizzard … Snowmageddon here in DC!” Obama told Democratic National Committee members hunkered down in a Washington hotel.”
Two things struck me as interesting about this opening to his remarks.
First, it seems that this president of all Americans is only happy to be among friends…Democrats and fellow far left ideologues….and not among all Americans. Nor does he seem to realize that his job is to represent all Americans and not just Dems.
Secondly and far more telling was his remark that the Democrats he was speaking to were ’so committed to the future of this PARTY and this country.’ Notice the order…committeed to the future of the PARTY! The country was clearly second fiddle. And this is a very large part of Obama’s problems.
He is a self-absorbed president who is far to interested in his own supposedly historic accomplishments, such that they are. And his far left congress is ONLY interested in ramming healthcare and other unpopular leftist agendas down the throats of Americans as a way to insure the future of their socialist Democrat Party.
In pushing Dems to pass his horrendous healthcare bill, Obama said:
“We may be moving forward against the prevailing winds. Sometimes it may be against a blizzard. But we’re going to live up to our responsibility to lead.”
Guess he still hasn’t figured out that those prevailing winds and blizzards he’s talking about is the WILL OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!
He’s gone in 2012, I pray,
